Actual attendance was approximately 42,000 according to Seoul Metropolitan Government and police on-site count — only 16% of the predicted 260,000. HYBE (BTS label) claimed around 104,000 by adding telecom network connections, but this methodology is disputed. The event required purchased tickets for entry, meaning exact numbers should have been available in advance.
Prediction was 6x higher than reality. If ticket-based entry was required, how was the 260,000 figure calculated? Over 10,000 public officials were mobilized and 440M+ KRW in taxpayer overtime costs were spent based on this inflated estimate.
