Terms of Service

1. Overview

FAXTR is a platform that aggregates and presents fact-checks from verified organizations worldwide. By using this Service, you agree to these Terms of Service.

2. Use of Service

  • •FAXTR's core features are provided free of charge.
  • •AI fact-checking and Scanner features use credits.
  • •Credits are topped up with a one-time payment on the pricing page.
  • •You must comply with all applicable laws when using the Service.

3. Disclaimer

FAXTR aggregates and presents fact-checks from third-party organizations and does not make its own truth determinations. AI analysis results are for reference only, and final judgment is the user's responsibility. Do not rely solely on this Service for important decisions such as financial investments.

4. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activities that occur under your account. Please notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

5. User-Submitted Content

News and content submitted by users are collected for review and may be used to help the community combat misinformation. Submitting illegal or malicious content is prohibited.

6. Intellectual Property

The design, logo, and software code of the FAXTR platform belong to FAXTR. Copyright for fact-check content belongs to the respective originating fact-checking organizations; FAXTR cites them with proper attribution.

7. Scanner (social feed & live analysis)

The Scanner analyzes social posts, live streams, photos or screen recordings you submit and shows signs of retouching or filters, possible ad-rule issues, how factual claims compare with public sources, and clues of AI generation.

  • •Estimates, not verdicts. Results are AI-generated estimates with supporting sources. They are not a finding that a post or person is "fake" or "fraudulent," and they may contain errors.
  • •"AI-estimated unretouched" images are generated by AI, not real photos. Do not present them as a person's real appearance or use them to disparage anyone.
  • •"AI-estimated unretouched" images carry a visible "AI estimate · not the real face" label. Do not remove or hide it when sharing.
  • •Analysis uses AI models (such as Anthropic Claude) and FAXTR's own analysis engine.
  • •You are responsible for anything you post or quote from your results.
  • •Reports and law reviews are reference material. They are compiled by AI and automated analysis from public sources and are not legal advice. Whether a rule applies depends on the facts; check the original texts and consult a professional before acting.
  • •Use of reports. Members who have topped up credits can view and download the summary report of their own scans and view the detailed report on screen. To download, you must agree to use the report only for complaints, dispute response or internal review; not to post it publicly, use it to defame people shown in the content, or resell it; and not to remove or hide the watermark (your account and the date) or the "AI estimate" labels.
  • •Download log. Each download records the account, time, file type and the version of the terms you agreed to; we use it to look into unauthorised distribution or rights complaints. If you break these terms we may restrict report features or suspend the account, and you are responsible for anything you distribute.
  • •Legal evidence packages. A package preserves the original, page captures, hashes and timestamps as collected. It does not guarantee admissibility or prove who made the content, and it is not a notarisation. Its certificate and declaration are effective only when signed by FAXTR's operator (Young Jang, owner of BlinkHub).

8. Credits, Payment & Refunds

  • •Credits are prepaid with a one-time payment; there is no subscription. Paid credits do not expire.
  • •The credits each feature uses are shown on the pricing page and are deducted when an analysis starts.
  • •If an analysis fails or you receive no result because of a service error, its credits are returned automatically.
  • •Within 7 days of purchase, unused credits can be refunded; if you used some, the remaining credits are refunded. Credits spent on analyses already run are not refundable.
  • •When a free preview is offered, part of the result is blurred; topping up credits unlocks the full result.

9. Prohibited Uses

  • •Using results to harass, defame or expose anyone, or to threaten or demand money
  • •Using faces to identify people or to match whether two images show the same person
  • •Analyzing faces of people who appear to be minors, or submitting private accounts or non-public videos
  • •Submitting content that infringes others' rights, or automated bulk use or circumvention of the Service
  • •Violations may lead to restricted use or account suspension.

10. Rights Requests from People Shown in Results

If you appear in a result (for example as a creator or seller) and believe it is inaccurate or infringes your rights, contact contact@faxtr.com with the result link, proof that it is you, and your reason. We may make the result private while we review it, and we will tell you the outcome and how to appeal. Users who repeatedly infringe others' rights will be restricted.

11. Service Changes

FAXTR reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes in advance.

12. Changes to Terms

These Terms may be updated from time to time. We will notify you of changes through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
