Question 1

How much does FAXTR cost?

Accepted Answer

Browsing published fact-checks is free. Checks and the Scanner use prepaid credits — one-time packs from $9 for 40 credits, with no subscription, and credits never expire. A fact-check search uses 1 credit, a photo scan 5, a feed video 8, and a live stream 10 per 5 minutes.

Question 2

How does FAXTR detect AI-generated fake news?

Accepted Answer

FAXTR analyzes claims against 100+ fact-checking organizations (AFP, Reuters, Snopes, PolitiFact, IFCN-signatories) and AI text detection models. We surface evidence and ClaimReview verdicts — we do not judge.

Question 3

Which languages does FAXTR support?

Accepted Answer

11 languages: English, Korean (한국어), Japanese (日本語), Chinese (中文), Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Arabic, Hindi, Russian.

Question 4

How is FAXTR different from Snopes or PolitiFact?

Accepted Answer

FAXTR is an aggregator — we don't produce original fact-checks. Instead we collect, normalize, and compare ClaimReview data from 100+ organizations including Snopes and PolitiFact, plus add AI detection layers and multi-language coverage.

Question 5

Is there a FAXTR API for developers?

Accepted Answer

An API is in preparation and has a waitlist. It will use the same prepaid credits as the site, with no monthly plans. See faxtr.com/pricing.
